Kingdom Hearts: Heart of Darkness

Chapter 1: Rude Awakening

“Watch out” shouted a man carrying boxes down a busy market street. He was yelling at scruffy looking kid in a faded green hoodie and tan shorts, as he ran down the the streets of the little city with a home-made wooden sword.  “ Darn it !” the boy was thinking as he tried to keep his brown hair out of his eyes, “Where are they?”. He stopped in the middle of the Town square , before checking the the Clock tower in the center. “Man, its getting late.” he thought frustrated. “Kyo!” a young girl shouted amongst the crowd of people. “Hey Hilda!” Kyo shouted back “Wheres Ringo and the others?” “There in the park!” Hilda responded trying to avoid the moving people around her. Kyo took of running to the park .
“Hi, Kyo.” Kyo stopped for a girl with dirty blond hair. “Where have you been the others have been waiting for you. They have been wait to see what your made of, but I going to wait here.” “OK Yoko, enjoy the show!” Kyo said as he headed for the others.
“Alright, Ringo, Kyo is here.” shouted a  excitable, red-hair guy, a little younger then Kyo. “ Hey, Kyo” said a older guy, “Nori and Yogi have been waiting  for a match”. “OK Ringo, give me a sec, and I'll take you on.” “Hmph, like you can take, my Ringo on.” said Yogi's older sister Nori, who had a crush on Ringo, and wasn't shy about it. “Come on, Yogi” Nori said, picking up a wooden stick.
Nori charge at Kyo, followed by Yogi. Nori swung the stick at Kyo but he put up his wooden sword to guard himself. Then Kyo pushed back hard. Nori fell backwards hitting Yogi. They both fell down on to the ground. “Owww.”complained Yogi. Nori looked away embarrassed “You still cant beat Ringo!” “Well lets see.” Ringo said lifting up his wooden sword. The two ran towards each other the started swinging wildly.
While Ringo was good at consciously avoiding attacks, Kyo was dodging them purely by reaction.  The kept swinging at each other, occasionally scratching each other. Finally Kyo swung and hit Ringo's arm. “Ahh! OK no will finish this now.” said Ringo. Ringo jumped up in the air and swung down at Kyo. Before it him, Kyo stepped out of the way and pointed his sword at Ringo's head. “Whoa” said Yogi. The others were amazed, no one ever beat Ringo, until now. “ Heh, your good.” said the defeated Ringo. “You too.” replied Kyo. “Well, we'll see tomorrow, OK, come on guys lets go.”
later that night Kyo, asleep in his bed, stated to toss and turn in his sleep then awoke. Kyo looked around his room and saw a circle of light. He got up and walk towards the light. As soon as he touched the light. He appeared in a dark endless void. He was standing on, what appeared to be a stain-glass floor. The glass pictured a spiky brown-haired, guy extending his hand towards a shadowy, black version of himself with beady yellow eyes.
“What is this place?” Kyo wondered. “ The beginning ...” a bodiless voice said “...or is it the end.” “Huh, who said that, who are you.” Kyo exclaimed. “That is something you will ask yourself ...in time.” “What do you mean?” Kyo questioned. “Step onward...and see.”
Kyo followed the path way to the next platform. This one show a silver-haired young man, the same way as the other one, but instead of appearing completely, only the clothes changed. One normal clothing the other, a dark colored armor. A  light was before him, he walked in to it. Suddenly he was hold a key-shaped object. The metal was blackened, the guard was a dark, dark purple. “What is this?” The voice spoke again “You hold the greatest weapon of all.” the out of the darkness appeared a  shadowy figure like the one on the first platform, but smaller. “<The road in filled with darkness.” Kyo backed away from the creature as it attacked. Kyo trip backwards on to the floor, then the creature jumped to attack. “MoVe, BoY.” said a dark voice. Kyo swung on impulse, and destroyed the creature.
The platform shook, “The road in filled with darkness...but do not fear...for you hold the greatest weapon of all.” Kyo the appeared in the park to the sight of his friends on the ground and his town in flames.
